What Is Work Energy And Power

What is the Work:-

The force exerted on an object is equal to the product of the displacement of the object in the direction of the force.  Its S.I. unit is joule

Work = force × displacement

What is tha Energy:-

The ability of an object to function is called the energy of that object. Energy is a scalar quantity. Its SI unit is joule.

The energy received by the work is called mechanical energy. There are two types
 1) Momentum Energy (Kinetic Energy)
 2) Potential Energy

1) Momentum Energy (Kinetic Energy):-

The ability of an object to work due to its speed is called the kinetic energy of the object. If the object of mass m is moving from v beg.  So kinetic energy (KE)

    KE= ½mv ²

2)Potential Energy

When an object gets chamma due to a particular position or special state, it is called potential energy.  Example: The energy of water collected by building a dam, the energy stored in the key of the clock
   Potential Energy(PE)=mgh

m=mass, g=gravitational acceleration, h=height

Law of conservation of Energy:-

Energy can neither be generated nor destroyed and can only be converted from one form to another. Whenever energy is lost in some form, the same amount of energy is manifested in other forms.  Therefore, the result of the entire energy of the world is constant. It is called the law of conservation of energy.

 6. tube light- electrical energy into light energy.

 7. Electrical Cell - Chemical energy into electrical energy.

 8. electric motor - electrical energy into mechanical energy.

 9. stars mechanical-energy into sound energy.

What is the Power:-

The working rate is called power.  If W work is done by a person in t time, then his power will be W / t.

The si unit of power is watt. Which is placed in honor of scientist James Watt

Power = work / time

Another unit of power is horse power. The power unit given by Games Watts

1 horsepower h.p. = 746W
