What is plastic. Type of plastic. Properties.
Hello friends, in this article today I have brought you this article about what is plastic. Inside it I have explained the properties of plastics and the classification of plastics well. And at the same time, I have tried to explain the difference between the two types of plastics, so I hope you will like this article.
What Is Plastic
Plastics are materials in which the properties of solubility are found, that is, their shape changes upon applying pressure. Plastic is organic material having high properties. In which high temperature and high pressure can be vented in the presence of a catalyst. Plastic is an integral type of daily life. There are many plastic items around us.
Properties Of Plastic
1) Plastic is light in weight.2) It is easy or easy to mold plastic.
3) Plastic is cheap and low cost.
4) Plastic is protected and resistant to pests.
5) Plastic has decorative properties.
6) Plastic also has strongness properties.
7) Plastics are transparent.
8) Plastics are water resistant.
9) Easy to operate in plastic.
Plastic Classification Type
There are two types of plastic or resins1) Thermoplastic 2) Thermosets
Thermoplastic:— These plastics are large molecules with long chain high molecular weight. There is little or no tie in them. They can also be molded in any shape to emit high temperatures. It becomes hard and strong upon cooling. They are usually constructed by positive multiplication. Examples of these are polythene, pvc, polypropylene and nylon.
Thermosets:— These are special types of polymers which have diagonal bonds between long chains. Because of which they cannot be repeatedly re-inserted into new shapes. Once solidified, their classification is not possible. That is, they are not rebuilt. These are usually formed by condensation polymer. Examples of these are Bakelite, Polyester Terelin etc.
Difference between thermoplastic and thermosets
Thermoplastic
1) Generally, aggregates are polymers.
2) These polymers are long chain linear polymers.
3) They do not have an oblique bond.
4) They can be softened by heating.
Thermosets
1) Thermosets are usually made of condensation polymer.
2) They have a three dimensional structure.
3) They have oblique bonds.
4) They cannot be softened by heating.
