Today I am going to give you information about Google Webmaster Tools in this post, so that you can know some main things about Google Webmaster Tools.
Google Search Console (previously Google Webmaster Tools) is a web service by Google which allows webmasters to check indexing status and optimize visibility of their websites.

Feature of Google Webmaster Tools

1. Check and check the sitemap and it also helps webmasters to check if there is any error with their sitemap.
2. Check and set a crawl rate, and when Googlebot accesses a particular site, view statistics about it.
3. Write and check a robots.txt file to help accidentally find blocked pages in robots.txt.
4.List internal and external pages that link to the site.
5. Get the list of links that Googlebot had difficulty crawling, including the error Googlebot received when entering the URL.
6. See which keyword searches on Google resulted in sites listed in the SERPs and click through rates of total clicks, total impressions, and average such listings.  (Formerly named 'Search Query', rewritten for 'Search Analytics' on May 20, 2015, with extended filter possibilities for devices, search types, and date periods.)
7. Set the preferred domain (eg prefer example.com www.example.com or vice versa), which determines how the site URL appears in the SERPs.
8. Google the search elements of structured data that are used to enrich search hit entries (released in December 2012 as Google Data Highlighter).
9.Receive notifications from Google for manual penalties.
10.Provide access to an API to add, change and delete listings and list crawl errors.
11.Rich Cards a new section added, for better mobile user experience.
12.Check the security issues if there are any with the website. (Hacked Site or Malware Attacks)
13.Add or remove the property owners and associates of the web property.

Search Analytics Reports

Accurate information

Search query reports provide more accurate reports than search query reports.
The reports are up to date and provide the latest information.

Personal page number

The search analytic report considers all links on a single page to be a single impression.
Separate reports are available for tracking device type and search type.

Image click more accurate count

The search analytics report only counts clicks on an image search result on your page as clicks on expanded images.  Previous search query reports count all clicks, expanded or not, on an image, both in web and images search.

Aggregated data by full domain

The search analytics report assigns all clicks, impressions, and other search data to a single, full host name.

The list of inbound links on Google Webmaster Tools is generally much larger than the list of inbound links that can be discovered using the link:example.com search query on Google itself. Google is tight lipped about the discrepancy. The list on Google Webmaster Tools includes nofollow links that do not convey search engine optimization authority to the linked site. On the other hand, the list of links generated with a link:example.com type query are deemed by Google to be "important" links in a controversial way. Google Webmaster Tools, as well as the Google index, seems to routinely ignore link spam. Once a manual penalty has been removed, Google Webmaster Tools will still display the penalty for another 1–3 days.[9] After the Google Search Console rebrand, information has been produced demonstrating that Google Search Console creates data points that do not reconcile with Google Analytics or ranking data, particularly within the local search market.
